ABOUT ME

  I’m a native of Lima - Peru and although I now reside for a couple of years in Arnhem (Holland), I try to continue to relive one of my favorite passions cthrough the music I present to others as a disc jockey. As a young boy I acquired, like almost every Latino(a), a taste for the Latin Music through the influence of my family and our society.  As a Latin Music lover I think it is very important to know about the roots and history of this music and not just the recent releases and/or commercial hits. This is music from a culture from the streets of the neighbourhoods, from Cuba to NY, from Puerto Rico to Venezuela, from Peru to Nicaragua and all of Latin America. The music I play has this “Sabor de la Calle” (street flavour’).

 The music must have a strong groove and natural drive to dance. I play varied tempo music from slower son montunos, guajiras, cha-chas or bachatas to lots of medium tempo Salsa, mambo and guaguancos or merengues. Of course I want to include another Latin Music genres, such a: Boleros, Tangos, Afro Peruvian, Vallenatos, Pasillos, Peruvian Vals, etc. The sound of small conjuntos to big orchestras, classic cuts to brand new releases.
